US Foot Officer's Sword

Description : This Sword was supplied to Army Foot Officers with the rank upto Major from 1851 to 1865. The Blade is etched with the letters "US", Floral Patterns , Branches and Scrolls. Hand Guard and hilt is made of solid brass and has a floral design. Our Replica is supplied with steel scabbard with Brass Fittings. Handle is made of wood covered with leather. Wire is wrapped around the handle. Blade is made of EN 45 High Carbon Tempered Steel.
Blades are supplied with simple polish and with a protective coating of oil/grease/lacquer for more historical authenticity.

Later on Ames Manufacturing Company were the first one to receive the contract in 1844 to make this sword. Supplied with Black Leather Scabbard with Brass Fittings. Handle is Made of full Brass. The Shelby Cavalry Officer's Sabre

Description : This Sword was carried by confederate field officers and cavalry officers. It conforms to US Field Officers Sword of the period but has open spaces instead of floral decorations between the branches. Large letters CS are decorated on the Brass handguard . The wooden grip is wrapped with Black leather and is wrapped with twisted brass wire for better grip. Supplied with a Blued Steel scabbard with Brass ring mounts , rings , throat and drag.
This type of Sword was carried by General Joe Shelby , CSA who never surrendered his command. Therefore this Sword is commanly called Ge. Joe Shelby sword.Blades is etched with CSA .
